One of the larger projects running, this complete gut & National Grid DER renovation of a three family Victorian in Dorchester is steadily moving forward. As with any old house there are major concerns & challenges about major structural flaws and keeping the historic characteristics of this Victorian home from the 1890’s. The vision of the client Devin Bean of Green Bean Development and the knowledge from RODE Architects make for an exiting project for BGB to take part in. We are right in the mists of rough everything; rough plumbing, electrical, mechanical, sprinklers, AV as well and the super insulated exterior wrap of the building is in progress. R-5 windows from Eco-Shield have arrived and have been mocked up for approval. The front and rear deck framing are in progress and should be completed next week. The basement has received a new 5″ concrete slab and storage units have been framed.
